Giuliano Bracci (Rome, 1980) studied composition with Rosario Mirigliano at Florence Conservatory and with Richard Ayres at Amsterdam Conservatory. He received an honourable mention at the Gaudeamus Prize 2010, was finalist at the Premio Reina Sofia 2010, awarded at the Young Composer Meeting 2010 and won the International SuonoSonda Competition 2009.
His music is published by Donemus and Ars Publica and has been performed by musicians as Orquesta de Radio Televisión Española, Coro Nacional de España, Holland Symfonia, Nieuw Ensemble, Atlas Ensemble, Ensemble Klang, Freon Ensemble, VocaalLab, Orkest de Ereprijs, Ensemble L’Arsenale.
He also studied philosophy at La Sapienza University in Rome. He worked in the Delbono theatre company, he taught at the Testaccio School of Music and in a kindergarten. He plays the guitar, the tuba and the viola da gamba. Since 2010 he lives and works in the Netherlands.
